Start with pine, or ask for walnut and maple
Pine is the main material for the pieces currently listed in the shop. For custom work, we can also discuss walnut or maple where the design, size and availability make sense.
Pine
Most current Wood & Loom pieces are made from solid pine. It has a warm rustic character, visible knots and a textured grain that works beautifully with our matt stain finishes.
Walnut
Walnut brings a deeper, calmer and more refined look. It suits media units, shelves and statement pieces where the wood itself should feel rich and substantial.
Maple
Maple gives a lighter, cleaner surface with subtle natural movement. It is a good direction for brighter rooms, modern interiors and pieces where a pale timber look matters.
Timber choice can affect price, lead time, weight and the final colour of the finish. If you want a piece in walnut or maple, send the product name and approximate size so we can confirm what is realistic.
